» The Top 30 Albums of 2010 - Fashionably, fabulously late, our favorite music (and believe me, there was a LOT) of 2010, the year that some have called the best year for music ever. And only some of those fools work here. Plenty of usual suspects, lots of ties and a few surprises that I won't spoil, including our unexpected #1.

Ugh. Why does hardcore punk sound so played out? I don't even want to think about all the times I sat through these indistinct, bland bands as they thrashed and screamed away on stage. I think of the hundreds I've probably seen or heard over the years there are about half a dozen I like.

By the looks of it this is a split release but I wouldn't know there were two bands on here if it didn't say so on the CD... I don't hear many differences between the two bands. Archeopteryx seems to occupy the second half of the CD and they seem to be a bit less mindlessly abrasive.

Get Get Go's singer is incoherent; there's no discernable words, it's just throat-rending screams over and over. It sounds like someone slowly driving a truck full of broken stereo equipment back and forth over a dying cat. Judging by the terms used in the press release (the phrase "gorilla-raping fog" appears in reference to Archeopteryx) bands like these might consider that a compliment.

Some people probably love this; I hate it. Recommended for hardcore hardcore people with limited music vocabulary only.
