» The Top 30 Albums of 2010 - Fashionably, fabulously late, our favorite music (and believe me, there was a LOT) of 2010, the year that some have called the best year for music ever. And only some of those fools work here. Plenty of usual suspects, lots of ties and a few surprises that I won't spoil, including our unexpected #1.

Apparently this is a "New Wave Disco" band that was formed in January 2000 in Wisconsin. Formed by three men that go by the names of Dr. Awkward, Mr. Alarm, and Yale Delay. Later in the year of 2000 they added a keyboardist by the name of Noise Lesion and began "slaying audiences all across Wisconsin with their brand of dance music." Mixing all the prime elements of Noise Rock, Experimental, Sci-Fi Pop, New Wave, Rock and Roll, and post-punk with a lot of sound effects and electronics If I Had A HiFi, come off as strange, different and extreme. This four piece chaotic rock band is like no other that I have experienced before. It may be that they are striving for experimental more than the other aspects with all the sound effects and sound clips. "Ones and Zeros" is probably about one half effects and one half music, with singing in about 25 percent of the record. I personally find myself more attracted to songs that have more singing along with effects, to me the effects and music without singing kind of m

I remember listening to the radio while growing up and every once in a while hearing a very strange band that didn't fit in with the rest of the songs they were playing. For some reason this reminds me of a band that could be throw in on a radio show as filler and maybe a few people would go out and buy the album. Some people love this strange brand of rock but I myself don't find it interesting or appealing enough to want to listen to on a regular basis. Especially since there are many bands that have made music that is so off the wall and odd that have pulled it off better and more successfully. This is a decent release for a band that has been together for such a short period of time but I don't see this band becoming the next big thing. There are many people out there who are the complete opposite of me though who love this type of thing. If this is you then give this a listen sometime and you may find a new favorite band.
