» Full Dark, No Stars - Stephen King's new novella questions mankind's ability to trust others.

» The Top 30 Albums of 2010 - Fashionably, fabulously late, our favorite music (and believe me, there was a LOT) of 2010, the year that some have called the best year for music ever. And only some of those fools work here. Plenty of usual suspects, lots of ties and a few surprises that I won't spoil, including our unexpected #1.

» Live: Surfer Blood/The Drums at Lincoln Hall, Chicago, IL - Remember when Weezer used to put together records that you could sing along to and rock out to? That's what Surfer Blood's show was like!

I got fucked. No that's not right. I received fuck. I'm going to Get Fucked? But isn't that the same as I'm getting fucked? Fuck it. Anyway, I got this CD by this band called Get Fucked. It makes about as much sense as the preceding sentences would if you screamed them at the top of your lungs. And broke a bunch of glass while you screamed. And then did some push-ups in the broken glass. Another "full length" album that clocks in around fifteen minutes, Get Fucked is testament to the fact that these guys want to fuck some shit up. Namely, your ears and musical taste. Get Fucked is sure to make fans of screamo hardcore say, "Fuckin A, bro!".

I would go on and on about how fucking rad the name Get Fucked is, but that wouldn't do the band justice. Not really breaking any new ground, but definitely not bringing up the rear, Get Fucked sustain the noise and terror without resorting to the pretentiousness of some of their peers. Their hair is probably tousled just enough, their pants are probably just tight enough, their glasses probably just geeky enough, but Get Fucked have the sound to back up the style. It's all here - eviscerating screams, accelerated guitars, breakneck drumming, stupid titles and songs that are over before you can heat up a microwave burrito. I would encourage everyone to go out and Get Fucked.
